My iPod Touch has 16.3 GB of audio, 8.3 GB of apps, 2 GB of photos, and only 1 GB of video. So there's not a lot of free space on my 32 gig.
My entire audio library is 22GB. There's no lossless stuff, or ridiculously high bit rate files, just 4121 items. So the 16.3 GB in my pocket is after picking and choosing.
I have lots of video in my library, but if we're going on vacation I have to remove even more of the audio to make room for movies. We travel 3 or 4 times per year, and having several movies on hand makes air travel bearable, especially for my 8 year old.
And there are apps, too, apps I haven't even installed on it yet. There are also apps I've removed from the iPod, because they take up a lot of room but don't get used (for example, the Oregon Trail is 1.2 GB, and it sucks). I've got 196 apps, all told, probably about 12 gigs worth.
I'm okay with 32 gigs, but I do have to manage it. I can't sync a couple movies onto it without choosing music to remove. Come the holiday season, I'll have to make room for my Christmas music.
It'd be nice not to have to manage my media, to always have all my music and all my apps and at least 3 or 4 movies. So if it were me, I'd pay the extra to get the 64 GB for sure.
