Actually, not so much, since clerks no longer handle the card but instead watch as you swipe it. My husband's debit card has a photo and yet someone was able to use it all over town when they stole it. Fortunately it's a VISA debit card and all his money was replaced within 24 hours. But it shows that the photo is pretty much worthless these days.
