Even "they" or "one" doesn't give all that much to the world, if you can do what you love, even if you're bad at it, so what. Rock on! Because one day, you won't be able to.
Even when Elton went KiKi Di and going from singer/song writer to performer, disappointed though I was, I still had Tumbleweed Connection and Madman. And particularly Madman played on better audio gear, sounds incredible.
If you still love what you're doing, not being as good as you once were is not a reason to quit.
