Glucosamine for my poochie?

I gave my Black Lab glucosamine for the last couple years of his life. At one point I kind of forgot how much trouble he'd been having getting up and down and decided I was probably being a sucker — but then after a few weeks without it he began to noticeably have more difficulty again so I put him back on it. I would simply buy whatever "human" glucosamine was on sale, btw.
