Jobs' claim was that you wouldn't see the pixels if it was held 10"-12" from your face. Even that is bogus -- it would have to be more like 500 pixels per inch at that distance. I don't know who ever said you'd need a loupe to see the pixels, certainly not Steve Jobs.
