Alright. It went ok. My emotions were on high, but my visible posture was one of take care of business. She brought along her annoying friend to assist. You guys really helped to set me right for the task.
But seeing my ex after so many weeks was so strange. Just looking at that person that adored me for so many years now just being very polite to me was dizzying. But I was still cool. I figured I better stick with haikuman's suggestions.
I was photographing the Zydeco band and she came to fetch me for a shot in another area. She stood there waiting for me to finish up and I stared at her in the face and hugged her for a long time. I told her I missed her every moment of every day. She said that she's not trying to hurt me. I told her that I had forgiven her a while back. I know that losing her mother altered her world.
So we finally finished and had to pack all of the gear up. I knew most of the people at the event so that was nice too. She and I chatted a bit more, said our goodbye's. Then I came home. I'm ready for some good days.
