I wonder how a car's ignition system can produce a 60,000 volt spark from a 12 volt lead/acid battery........ What, they can DO that? That's crazy talk!
8 AA batteries in the Taser! That's 12V and a good deal more potential energy than two AAs contain. And I've dropped enough metal wrenches on car batteries to know that interesting things can happen with that many volts... times the amps which are available in the many pounds of lead acid technology of a car battery.
