I dunno, seems like it would bounce and hit the back of my head/neck with every step, but I have never tried one so maybe it's ok. Controls in the back? Kind of awkward.
What I use is an iPod shuffle; just clip it to my sleeve and run the cord up the inside of the sleeve and over my shoulder to the back where it seems to stay quite nicely. Very light, never had it come off. Only problem is the earbuds getting loose in my ears over time but that is really minor.
