top loader or front loader?
make sure that the transportation screws/bars are removed.
when Lowes guys installed my front loader, they did NOT remove some screws that were holding the drum in the back, and they tested it empty (no clothes, just water). of course it worked fine with no real load. When we ran our first load, during spin it caused a small earthquake in our house. I had to shop it before it damaged something. I started reading the manual and figured out that the Lowes guys did not remove those screws, I removed them myself and it workd fine ever since.
