Daughter's hand me down iPad Gen I (16G Wifi) has a "Dead LCD" display. Weird screen artifact in the center... a photo sent to an iPad repair joint referenced on the phorum says that's the cause.
Lots of 'generic chinese' LCD screens on FleaBay, but... I hesitate to drop even $50 on something that might or might not work. The Chicago repair shop wants a reasonable $149 plus shipping to fix it, and Apple of course wants more than the dang thing is worth (Flat $249).
Has anyone here done a swap, and from whom was the screen purchased ?
