Inside the case the 2TB 2.5" units are 4-platter 15mm height SATA drives.
Not much different from a 4-platter 3.5" drive, only smaller with half the storage space. The only advantage to these units over a 3.5" drive is for bus-powered external use. The problem with that is: how often do you need 2TB of space to be hot-swappable?
