My 2008 MBP is still chugging along just fine except its corrupt hard drive, so I'm going to put a new HD/SSD in it and permanently attach it to my TV. While an SSD wouldn't be necessary, it seems as though I should be able to find a bargain (but reliable) 128GB SSD or so for under $100 (it has a second HD in the optical drive space for storage) which would be worth the few extra bucks over a standard HD to improve response time.
Anyone have a favorite or a good suggestion? I'd love to go with a OWC SSD but I can't justify the price given I'm not sure how I'll use this SSD once the MBP dies (or I just decide to get rid of it down the road).
