SSD prices have not dropped much over the last 12 months

I checked what I paid for some 128 and 256 SSDs in Summer 2012 ($80 for the 128GB and $160 for the 256). It seems the prices have not dropped much since then. yes, they did drop a little. You can find deals with Staple coupons and price match, but the prices mentioned above were without price match or coupons, just regular sales at Amazon. Seems like they didn't drop much. Is this because demand went way up? or not enough competition?
