You are getting into the territory of overlapping files….

That would require a good 7-10 days of running DiskWarrior (and not know that you are… because that’s just the way it is) - and not touching your machine until DiskWarrior says “directory rebuilt - overlapping files in the directory repaired.” (or… “tough luck! Zero the drive and don’t EVER get within 15% territory again!!”)

There are other repair tools out there that SAY they can do it, but they can’t. TechTool saves a spare copy of the directory on another drive if you want it to, but when the directory goes bad, it refuses to see the backup on an external - and show it, for reasons unknown. It only shows it when the disk is working fine, and I suppose matches it to the disk, and says “ah… this one must be the backup for it.”

A lot of good that does. TechTool is a piece of crap.
