Down to 90GB. would that make mac slow

I actually got down to zero yesterday (unexpectedly) while doing some batch video conversions. Outlook crapped out immediately, but everything else seemed to hang on until I cancelled the batch and moved 80+GB off the boot drive. The Finder was slow, but I think having 24GB of RAM probably helped keep things alive.
