Laptop on an airplane? Carryon?

Yes, but it will be expensive. And slow. Very, very, very slow. Trust me on this. As for the exit row seats- many airlines now consider those to be premium and charge extra for them. Air travel is such a PITA these days that I'm thrilled I only have to do it a few times a year now.
