Update: THe police office called me back and said thay unfortunately they shut the door on them.
However , he felt that "these are the guys" and that their behavior and answers to questions weren't adding up. They are in the process of getting a search warrant now and the police officer said he will give me a call once the warrant is in place and the premises are searched.
