Well, bummer. That seems absolutely insane for the average user. Especially if you only upgraded every other version or so (I went from CS to CS3 to CS5 to CS6).
At half those rates ($25/suite, $10/app), it would be palatable, but at $50 and $20, it's just ridiculous. I wonder if it'll still allow for two installs per subscription, or if that rate is per computer (which would be absolutely insane). The regular purchased apps allow for two installations which is great if you have two computers (i.e. desktop and laptop).
Let's see, I bought my CS5 upgrade 3 years ago, and then bought CS5.5 in the window to get CS6 for free, spending a total of $1677. With the subscription model, I would have spent $1800 in the same time frame, and I'd continue paying them even more...
Guess I'll be sticking to CS6 (and 10.6.8) for as long as possible... Though I'm bummed that Lightroom 5 will require 10.7+.
