What crap. I just looked around for a CS6 upgrade for Photoshop and cannot find one. Apparently you can't even get an individual upgrade through Adobe: the site is offering only the cloud garbage. I really despise these a$$holes.
So what if you can discontinue your rental? How realistic is that? Do you really want to shell out if you just need to open a file and make a few changes?
Adobe is out of good ideas for their software. They cannot offer enough compelling features in mature applications. They can't make enough fixing bugs and the problems in previous versions. They are doing this to keep themselves afloat, and while those of us who use their software need them to continue to exist, this rental scheme is really hard to swallow.
I used to love their apps and respect them as a company. Those days are long gone.
