I can confirm ka jowct's statement in the sense that my Internet research last night came up with references to a Photoshop plug-in. Even found one from Kodak that was from 1998.
That's what motivated me to fire up the iBook. I was hoping I might have an old version of Photoshop on it. Alas, I had deleted Photoshop and most other apps to free up space on a relatively small internal hard drive. While I have a back-up drive for the iBook, it is stored in a different location. I'll have to retrieve it next week.
Fortunately, (as stated earlier) the newer version of iPhoto solved my problem.
thanks again, Todd's celebratory-and-not-just-because-of-the-Fourth keyboard
