i ask because i don't give mine out lightly, and almost never get unwanted calls

Same here, but I do get an occasional spam call.

Usually a robo call, sometimes a wrong number.

If I have to give my cellphone number out for business, I'll try to wean the caller from it, or it's a one-time thing.
