Another thumbs up for Brother B&W lasers. I have three in my house and don't need any more.
I did have a gear break on the sheet feeder of my 7820N. Brother sold me the replacement part pleasantly and inexpensively over the phone, but whie I was waiting for it to arrive I applied a temporary fix with a wad of Mighty Putty.
That was six years ago, I think. Printer is still running strong, with at least one new (generic) drum over that time. Haven't installed the OEM gear yet, I have I a strict policy of not fixing what ain't busted.
