How to locate a certain bottle of wine?

I recently had a wine I really liked (a 10yr old CA Chardonnay). I tried finding some more using the wine finder at but no luck, at least not of that vintage or near it.
Are there other web wine resources worth checking out, or am I best just trying to have a local wine merchant find it for me? I'm only looking for a couple bottles, not a whole case.
