Who's the first MacResourcer going to bite?
I doubt I'll switch since I just upgraded all three of my lines with new phones. To be fair, my old Nokia e72 went to my mom, so not really a new phone in that case. My partner got the Huawei Prism II I just bought a couple months back since it can't tether without a third party app (limited to USB tethering with PdaNet+). Leaves me with a "new to me" Xperia ION that does tether natively (thank goodness) and is a pretty solid phone all things considered. Unfortunately, non of those fine devices will ever hope to be compatible with Sprint's CDMA, WiMAX, or LTE networks. Alas, phones just don't work that way.
Which leaves me in a quandary. I pay $125 for unlimited everything for three lines. FreedomPop gives me unlimited calling/text and 500MB per line for $33/month plus any fees/taxes. Pretty big difference in price. Then again, switching will incur a $300 up front expenditure that eats into the savings for the first three months. Hmmmm…
