Wow, that sucks! I've read most of his Jack Ryan books up until the first with Jack Jr. At least now maybe I'll be able to get caught up. I never did get into any of the other series that he wrote or co-wrote.
I specifically remember thinking about Debt of Honor on 9/11.
66 is way too young. No cause of death has been mentioned, but I would assume cardiac arrest - he looked like a meat and potatoes kinda guy.
The Hunt for Red October is still one of my favorite books and my favorite movie. In fact, I posted something about it yesterday on his FB page. R.I.P.
