Apple will not blame a blown inverter on a 3rd party hard drive, but if you have a 3rd party LCD, then perhaps. But I've brought in dozens of computers with 3rd party hard drives for work and it is not a factor. Unless perhaps you're there because the SATA cable was ruined when you installed the HD.
