Best bargain hard drive/SSD for MBP 2008 (SATA, not II interface)
#7
Except, I already have a 256GB SanDisk Extreme in my 2010 MBP that will continue to get moved into my production machine until it gets replaced, so there may be NO "replacement" for this machine and/or SSD and, if it's still working when I retire it, if I'm not replacing the machine, the SSD may just get sold along with the machine, though its age will make it a "bargain" buy for whomever acquires it, so a high-performance SSD won't add much value to it, thus my desire for a 'bargain SSD.'

Get a good SSD and take it to the next Mac when this one dies. Don't toss a working SSD out with a dead Mac.
