Sometimes it depends on the used tires in question..
20 years ago I bought 4 sets of used tires from my wife, mother and 2 sets for my car (I went through a set a year). Though they were sold as used, they all came off new cars from a dealers lot that had been flooded. The cars were in 3-4 feet of water for several hours and totaled. A local salvage yard got ahold of them and was selling the tires for $100 for matched sets of 4. The tires still had the injection knobs on them.
It was a no-brainer.
