How about marking your calendar? As I remember for my locale (San Francisco Bay area) for sale items expire in 7 days, other cities can last as long as 45 days. Other types of adds such as resumés, Gigs, etc last 30 days and again 45 days in other cities. Details at this link http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/posting_lifespans

One of the most invaluable free services on the web in my book, Have gradually cleared our home and garage of many years of treasures (translate junk) that we just did not know what to do with.
