Exactly my original point. A 2.5" SSD is not a future proof addition in the sense you will likely need a different form factor for internal use once upgraded to the new Mac. Sure, you would still have a speedy low capacity external drive, but most of my external drives are much bigger than the inexpensive 120GB SSDs out there at the moment. As much as I wish for more speed, I need the capacity for honest to goodness traditional data storage when it comes to external storage. No, I don't have thousands for the same capacity as SSD. I wish.
