I got the glass cracked on my MBP a couple months ago; I'm living with it for now because I need the data in this device and my contracted repair service will take a long time to resolve it.

I have no interest in attempting this repair myself. If it ranks above replacing the HDD in an iBook in difficulty I have no interest in ever doing that kind of work again myself.
