Let me just pass on the experience of a white friend of mine, who adopted an AfAm boy with his wife. One day, he was at the park with his son, and the son was acting up - didn't want to go home and finally my friend had to just physically pick him up and put him in the car, hollering and crying as little kids having a mini-meltdown do.
Fifteen minutes later, the cops were at his door, investigating a possible child abduction reported by someone at the park. He managed to convince them that this was, in fact, his adopted son, but it gave both him (and his kid!) pause, that they would be in this situation.
I don't know if this is in any way a useful heads-up, but certainly, in our society, folks (even well meaning folks) will still key in on skin color.
That awkward anecdote told, I gotta say that your daughter is cute- superstar cute!
