be that as it may, most cards i take at a well known coffee company do not have a signature. at best they say "check I.D." in the signature space. and we don't. once i did challenge someone who looked nothing like the picture on the card. it was his mom's card. had to give a pass as sometimes i have given my son my credit card to use.
twenty years ago i had a road manager travel with me and she took care of all vehicle stuff. used my credit card to pay for 10,000+ miles of gas. she always signed her name as we decided signing my name would be forgery. she was NEVER challenged. and this was in the age of signing not swiping.
