WIll TPers throw Jan Brewer under the bus next?
#6
Maybe someone can answer a question that I haven't been able to find an answer to about this bill. If a person is an employee of a company and has religious objections to serving someone, can they sue the company if the owner fires them for not serving a costumer that the owner has no problem with (and is more than happy to take their money)? Or does the bill only "protect" the owner's religious freedom in such a situation?

For example, suppose a Muslim man is hired at a convenience store as a cash register clerk. And suppose that the man says that he has religious objections to talking to (much less selling anything to) women who are not in hijabs and accompanied by an older male adult. Does the law (bill) protect his "religious freedom" in that case?
