For tech reasons beyond me, there is no longer a "Secure Empty Trash..." option when running the OS from an SSD. It's completely disappeared from the Finder's menu options on my Mac Pro with an internal SSDrive. (at least on El Capitan).
From an earlier thread here and some Google searches, I was under the impression this simply went away when using SSDs. But now I've got friends with SSD Macs who say the Secure Empty Trash is still there.
Does it just disappear with EC? Or is there some other reason. Even more to the point: anyone running EC on an SSD that still sees Secure Empty Trash in the Finder menu?
