Canon Pixma MG5320 direct-to-CD printing blacks blurry, all other printing is fine. What's going on?

I guess I was envisioning that the final design was a combination of graphics, maybe a photo or drawing, and text. Then maybe the PDF was being rendered in such a manner that the text was doubled. I might be having flashbacks from the days of Postscript and PCL printer driver issues.

Have you tried printing out of Adobe Reader? Perhaps the PDF has become slightly less portable.
