is it easy to change your apple id?

You CANNOT get rid of or change an Apple ID. You can only add a new one. Not a good idea, as all of your past purchases were with the old one.

my name won't change but the apple id i presently have is a verizon email that will soon no longer be valid since i am leaving verizon.

the requirements for an apple id is a valid email.

i have no choice but to change it.
