When it is Spring you keep your Summer, Fall and Winter clothes at a friend/relative's who has a real house.
These tiny houses have been showcased quite a bit since the recession/housing crisis.
We downsized and are struggling with 900 sq. ft.
(not counting the basement or garages)
It can be done though and if I was better at throwing/giving stuff I might need someday away I could lose a room or half a basement.
I've known snowbirds who travel the eastern seaboard every Spring and Fall with everything they need in the back seat and trunk of the car. Not a small car. but it can be done.
Yes, it can be done. Wife, I and the two small dogs are living in a 729 sq. ft. one bedroom. We had to get rid off lots of stuff. We realized we didn't need them after all. We do wish for a balcony or a small yard tho'.
I think this place is 945, there are three of us and a turtle. No garage, no basement. Small front yard and smaller backyard. We need to downsize a bit more to make it perfectly livable, but most of my life I lived in a bedroom. Because I'm old, I need a whole house just to myself? I say bully for you to anyone who is making a go at simple living.
