It can be done though and if I was better at throwing/giving stuff I might need someday away I could lose a room or half a basement.
I've known snowbirds who travel the eastern seaboard every Spring and Fall with everything they need in the back seat and trunk of the car. Not a small car. but it can be done.

Yes, it can be done. Wife, I and the two small dogs are living in a 729 sq. ft. one bedroom. We had to get rid off lots of stuff. We realized we didn't need them after all. We do wish for a balcony or a small yard tho'.
Save your pennies, you might get that yard or balcony some day.
Just don't stop living , enjoying life, being happy - it's the only one you got along with each other.
Not sure owning a home again is economically feasible for a 50 year old couple like us. Additionally, the sluggish rate of economic recovery and unstable job market will take a long while for us to get to that point. Other than that we are gratefully enjoying what we already have :-)
