I'm pretending that this movie and the previous one didn't happen.

Khan was a Sikh, not a pasty white Englishman, Pike is safely living out his days on Talos IV, and Kirk's current whereabouts are unknown (last seen in the Nexus), but he's not some snotty-nosed kid trying to pretend to be a Captain.
But seriously: why was this movie necessary? Why remake/rewrite what is arguably the best movie of the whole franchise? This was a bad movie, not just bad Trek (I don't really even consider this real Trek anyway).
