e-commerce situation

I am currently using Jigoshop on one of my sites. As they say in the drug world...the first one is free. The product itself is free, but most of the compatible themes and the extensions to make it work for you are not free. WooCommerce is similar in this regard.

One issue that I have in particular with Jigoshop is that it started off in essentially beta mode when we started using it about 2 years ago. It has since gone through about 12 significant updates. Keeping up to date so that all of the pieces keep working together is a chore. We try to do these updates in our off season, so we often have to roll through several updates sequentially, upgrading the database each time. We have learned you cannot skip a version or all hell breaks loose.

If I did it again, I probably would go with WooCommerce as it seems a bit more mature.
