Netflix has a pretty compelling position, unless they're straight up lying. If Verizon is the source of the problem, well, they just paid Verizon to resolve that problem, so the problem shouldn't exist. If they can prove that in fact Verizon is the source of the problem then Verizon probably owes Netflix money. I'd imagine that if they've been legally extorted - forced to pay extra for what they're already paying for - and they're still not getting the service that they should be, you better bet they're calling to call out Verizon on that. After agreeing to pay ComCast and Verizon, I'd wager that Netflix is implimenting a robust system to check and verify where the connection is breaking down as standard practice.
