I would jump at $40/mo for 1.5 down.

Would rather have kept Clear. Except for some outages in inclement weather, I averaged more than double the download for just a bit more dollars per month. Sometimes I saw speeds at my home as high as 9 Mbps down and .5-1 Mbps up. I think my price would have been $45-$50 month for a single service and possibly less if they kept feeding me deals (I was down to $50/month for two services over three months, then back up to $70 for two, or less if I dropped one service). And I don't have to get gauged for a landline either.

Have you considered DSLExtreme? In theory I can get 3000/768Kbps down/up over Verizon's line for $25 month for the first year and then $35/month thereafter. Should be DSL only service, no phone line. The other option I have is 1000/384Kbps down/up for $15 month for the first year and then $30/month thereafter. Maybe something similar near you? Have you tried the OWC ISP services? Fastermac.net or OWC.net? When I was still a dial-up customer, Fastermac.net was my favorite choice of the several ISP's I tried. Thinking DSL service would be pretty swell as well.
