you may be overinterpreting....it may just be that the righties were low on chuckles and eager for the opportunity to have a fun execution of a US citizen to joke about.

Not sure what Foley's Chicago connection was, but I've come across more than one acquaintance that knew him. Makes it hard to appreciate the humor of the situation.
