Looking at that list, as I have done in the past, I'm always struck by the number of people in the 20s, 30s, and 40s who lost their lives. I think about their young spouses and their even younger children who have grown up not knowing one parent. Not that it is less tragic for those who were in their 50s and older, but I was 30 on 9/11 with a 3 1/2 month old daughter, so that age group seems to affect me more.
