Exactly, Gene! That was my point—there's no real difference between carrying around a replaceable battery like some Android devices allow vs. using an external battery pack.
Except, there is as sekker pointed out. the battery pack provides real benefits over carrying around a replaceable battery. In addition, the built-in battery improves both battery life and reliability while reducing weight.
