Yosemite killed my wifi

4. If all else fails, remove the /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration folder and reboot. This will clear all of your network settings, so it's last resort for frequent travelers with a laptop that has a lot of WiFi and VPN settings to worry about, but for a desktop Mac is probably not too onerous.

please define "remove".

does it mean trash?

does it mean simply moving out of the library folder?

will it automatically rebuild on re-boot?

will any other network settings be affected or will this re-set all network settings?

thanks in advance to any and all who care to share.

be well.
