For those still considering that deal, I replaced my 18-55 & 55-250 pair with this one and the only downside I see is that at 250 it's a bit less sharp than the kit lens (which was already not so sharp at this FL). Not a big deal and it gets better at 200 so I usually just stop there. It's a minor tradeoff compared to carrying an extra lens.
