They all pretty much suck, but this is the one our family has been using the last couple years. I wouldn't bet my life on its accuracy, but it's about the best I've found:

Get some extra plastic sleeves for the sensor.

Sorry...just realized I misread your post. Wrong type of thermometer. But maybe my response will be helpful to SOMEONE.
