yeah, you have a good point.
In my case, we still use an Ooma, so having the ability to energize household outlets for a few different wired phones is our preference. But I could probably get away with a phone jack in only 2-3 locations, and maybe I will decide to just run phone line to a few locations, who knows.
In terms of ethernet, I think I still prefer to have the option for it over wireless-only. And since we have the opportunity to run the cable while the walls are open, it seems wise to just do it so we have it. I'll be doing all the work myself, so it's just a matter of a few hours of my time and a couple hundred bucks for a bunch of Cat 6 cable and jacks. Again, I know we'd probably be OK with wifi only, but since the opportunity is there, I figure it'll give us a little more flexibility down the road.
